The second warmest month since 1965
This month of October has been, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), "extremely dry" and with a "marked contrast between daytime and nighttime temperatures." Similar to the climatic behavior of deserts, characterized by high daytime temperatures and very low nighttime temperatures, last October had very high temperatures during the day and low temperatures at night.
According to Aemet, the thermometers in October registered an average of 18,5 degrees Celsius, value that is 2,6 degrees above the mean of this month since the reference has been made, that is, the period 1981-2010.
Very high temperature anomalies
Temperature anomalies are data that is logged that is not normal at normal temperatures. These abnormalities can be negative (below average) or positive (above average).
