The Amazon is one of the most important places on planet Earth, if not the most important, for life. It is home to the largest virgin forest in the world, plants that day after day absorb carbon dioxide and expel oxygen, the gas that we need so much to stay alive. But, Can it survive climate change?
In recent decades, deforestation is being done too fast. The increase in the population means that roads are being built and agricultural fields are being created in a territory that until recently belonged to green nature. But, in addition, as the planet warms, the rainfall regime is changing, putting crops at risk.

These episodes could happen much more frequently in the future, although they would not be the only ones. The temperature in the Amazon is expected to rise 3ºC by the end of the century, which will cause changes in the cycle that regulates the climate of South America. The consequences are many: extinction of species, increase in forest fires, droughts and floods.
Will the Amazon survive climate change? It depends on the human being. If it is well preserved, you will not have problems, but if you continue deforesting, it is likely that you will have a lot of problems recovering from the damage we have done and are doing to you.
If we take into account that this jungle is one of those that gives life to all of us, it is very necessary to take measures to conserve it.
