To win the fight against climate change, we must innovate, we must improve and we must use all kinds of "weapons" to combat the devastating effects it has on the planet.
The innovative initiative has been promoted by the office «United Nations Global Press»(UNGP) of the United Nations and Western Digital Corporation (WDG) and it is intended to use the "big data”From the private sector to help fight climate change.

The idea of using the big data To fight against climate change is a challenge. Scientists, researchers and innovators from around the world have been invited to participate in this. In this way, they will be given time to present their proposals on April 10, they will all be exposed.
The objective of this initiative is to generate research work that works with tools that demonstrate how innovation oriented to data and the study of the land can provide easy solutions and thus improve efforts to combat climate change.
All areas of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for climate action are working on it. Topics such as climate mitigation, adaptation to the climate and to new scenarios, the broader Agenda 23 and actions to be taken to improve links to change.
UNGP Director Robert Kirkpatrick has noted that:
"Promoting effective action for climate change requires not only climate data, but also comprehensive information on human behavior".
