The month of April is a typically spring month, in which rainfall usually has a great role. There are areas of the peninsula where it usually rains a large number of days a year and that they enjoy little of the sun.

Taking advantage of the fact that we are in the month of rain, I am going to talk to you about those cities of Spain where it rains often regardless of the season.

The northern peninsula is the wettest area of the country and in which therefore it rains much more. The two cities that bid to be the rainiest in Spain are Vigo and San Sebastian. In the case of the Galician city, 1.791 mm of water is usually collected per year. While in San Sebastián the rainfall they are usually 1500 mm per year.

However, there is an area in southern Spain where the highest amount of rain usually falls per year, it is the Sierra de Grazalema. In this area, up to about 2200 mm of rain in a year.  It is a place where it usually rains the most during the months of September and April.

Despite these data, it is very difficult to know which city in Spain has the most rain at the end of the year. Time is highly variable and while in a given month a city may be overwhelmed by continuous rainfall, during a different month it can be a little rainy city the one that receives the most rainfall.

What is clear is that the month of April is a month that according to the data it's typically rainy and in which the majority of the rainfall of the year usually occurs.
