The countries of the world that are fighting drought

Drought-Chile

Although it is not given the attention it should, the subject of water scarcity it is one of the most worrying and serious that will plague the planet in the coming years. Chile is currently suffering the worst drought of its history and there are so many other countries on the planet that are fighting against this great problem that is largely caused by climate change.

Water is a precious commodity that is not in excess and that is beginning to be scarce, so everyone should be aware of when consuming it. According to various reports submitted by the UN, to continue with this rate of water consumption, In 15 years nothing more and nothing less than 40% of the water that the planet would need to live will be missing. This serious problem would cause continuous conflicts between different countries and serious financial problems worldwide.

drought

As I have commented previously, the country that is being most seriously affected by water scarcity is Chile. However, it is not the only one since Brazil is suffering the worst drought in recent 80 years. However, there are also countries that despite having great problems with water scarcity, have managed to overcome this problem and find a good solution. It is the case of Israel that in the year 2000 suffered major drought problems and opted for desalination, obtaining great results today.

China is another country that suffers the effects of drought, to solve the problem the great world power has chosen to build a gigantic canal of 1000 kilometers that takes the water from the south of the country to the north. Spain has also fought against the drought by implementing micro channelers that capture the rain and transform it into drinking water for the population.
