The "test city" that will replicate the long-awaited city for Mars

The ambitious project for "Terraform" Mars, converting the red planet to one similar to ours, continues to raise projects, ideas and plans to make it possible. One of the last tests to be carried out is in Dubai, one of the seven strong United Arab Emirates. This project is in charge of «Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center", aims to make a city viable in the Martian environment.

With a financing of 140 million dollars, the project coined "Mars Science City", would occupy 176 thousand square meters. In them the new city would be built in which people would train before traveling to the inhospitable planet. Anticipating the arrival to the planet Mars is a key point in its subsequent colonization, to ensure the survival of the first people to arrive. Are you curious to know how you want to build this new city? We explain the details

Born as an idea, born to be real

The basic idea that revolves around this entire project, is a real simulation of what would be done on Mars. To do this, we start from the most similar conditions that people would encounter. Research on the colonization of Mars will also be carried out there. For now it does not have a start date, but what can be ventured from the beginning is that the "astronauts" are going to live there for a year.

Among the works that would be carried out would be to put into operation agricultural techniques, food storage, generate energy, drinking water, as well as subsequent treatments of these. The city would also be protected by domes that would prevent the entry of solar radiation. And many of the structures, created from 3D prints, a technique that in Dubai has developed very notably.

For now, this ambitious project would mean a giant step towards the conquest of the red planet. And in case anyone is curious or could travel to the area, they are planning to open a museum that would be open to the public!
