The people who have seen it at some time in their lives agree that it is a spectacle without equal and that it comes to astonish in a way without equal. These are popularly known as Antarctic Blood Falls. It is shocking to observe the entire white landscape and suddenly see how the waters turn a red color reminiscent of blood.

Then I explain what is this rare and strange phenomenon due to and why it occurs exclusively in that part of the planet.

In the middle of the vastness of Antarctica rises the famous Taylor GlacierAuthentic cataracts of blood fall from it, making it one of the strangest and most beautiful phenomena on the entire planet. What is most striking to anyone who watches such a show, is the reddish hue that the waters that fall through the glacier acquire and that according to scientific explanations they are due to the accumulation of iron oxide from the salts in the glacier itself.

The strangest thing of all and that undoubtedly draws the attention of locals and strangers is that it is a unique phenomenon on the entire planet and that it only occurs in said glacier in Antarctica. Yet what is most amazing, is that it is scientifically proven that the same phenomenon occurs on the planet Mars and on some of the moons on Jupiter. The best thing about such blood cataracts is that scientists have the possibility of studying the life of certain microorganisms that are in said glacier and with very unique characteristics that are only found in that area of the planet.
