It seemed that it was not going to arrive, but winter has finally settled in SpainAnd he has done it in the »best» way possible: with ice and snow in the north of the country and quite cold in the rest as well.

The mercury in thermometers it can drop to eight degrees below zero, aggravating the situation that they are living in towns like Teruel, Cantabria or Burgos.

Winter is a season that, we are not going to deny it, can leave really spectacular landscapes, but we must try to be very careful, whether we are going to take the car or if we simply want to go for a ride. And it is that, without going any further, in the province of Teruel they have been left with practically all the impassable roads. In addition, in the capital they have suspended public transport and, to be able to circulate on the main roads, chains are needed.

In Madrid, the service of the Cercanías line C-9 between the Puerto de Navacerrada and Cotos stations has also been suspended due to snow. On the other hand, in Asturias there are more than 10 thousand people who have run out of electricity as a result of the storm, and they also have a dozen roads closed to traffic.

In Catalonia there are four closed roads, which are the GIV-4016, GIV-5201, C-28 and BV-4024. As if that were not enough, it is mandatory to use chains on 44 roads, and more than 230 people continue without electricity supply in the town of Ribera d'Urgellet, in Lleida.

But nothing lasts forever and this temporary, of course, neither. Despite the fact that today Wednesday a cold air flow is entering from the northeast of the interior of Europe, which will cause temperatures to plummet below 10ºC in high areas of the eastern half of the country, on Friday the situation will begin to normalize. But beware, it won't be the last cold episode of the year.
